Life Experience

Bilingual:

I moved to Italy when I was eight years old. Not only am I bilingual, but I know Italian history and literature much better than the Romanian ones. I speak Italian with my brother and cousins because that’s how we grew up, and I consume Italian content every day (Instagram, YouTube, Netflix etc.).
Travel:

I love travelling and for a few years I lived first in Trieste, Italy, and then in Karlsruhe, Germany. I currently live in Bucharest.
Multilingualism:

There are days when I use all four languages I speak. German and English for my office work, Italian for lessons with my students and Romanian for my private life. It’s a great way to keep one’s mind sharp!

Work Experience

Experience with all ages:

During high school, I participated in a project called Scuola Più+, where I taught Italian to foreign students that were in middle school. I also spent a year volunteering at a kindergarten in Germany and, thanks to the same project, I helped organize a language summer camp for teenagers in the United Kingdom, where I was one of the tutors. My career path has allowed me to gain experience with children and young people of all ages, although most of my students are now adults.
Experience with CILS preparation:

I have more than two years of experience in preparing students for the CILS certification and have had numerous students over the years.
Other work experience:

I have also had office jobs, always using the languages I know. I currently work for a multinational company using German. The flexible hours and hybrid mode allow me to devote my time to my students as well.
